Our 29th Season

The 2009-2010 season marks the 29th year of dance performance for Benita Bike's DanceArt Company. Benita Bike's DanceArt is a chamber modern dance company based in Los Angeles. This company originated in Boston and has performed throughout New England and California, in France, Poland, New York, Kentucky, and Arizona. This elegant and expressive company performs a repertory created by choreographer Benita Bike.

Dances by Benita Bike's DanceArt range from the elegant and abstract to the gutsy and emotionally potent. This company's work is known for its luscious, full-bodied movement, architectural use of space, and attention to expressive gesture. Benita Bike is interested in our common roots and those elements that tie us to our past, therefore the company's dances are often imbued with a sense of the universal and the historical.
